Colonial Empires
Since the Discovery of America in 1492 a lot of nations became interested in colonizing the New World, each one with different purposes.
Spanish Empire
At its greatest extent in the 18th Century, this colonial empire controlled huge areas in South and North America.
The Spanish Expansion through the Americas was done by a series of soldiers sent to explore new lands called Conquistadors. These armies used their superior equipment, tactics and the rivalries between the different native nations to conquer them.
