The Fall of Constantinople

On 1453, Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire and one of its last territories falls to the Ottoman army, leading to the fall of the Eastern Roman Empire.

The siege of this city lasted for 53 days and is considered the end of the Medieval Age.
At the end of the war, the Ottoman Empire expanded its territories and focused on expanding onto the balkan peninsula and northern Africa.
